Join the Lullaby Choir

As a member of the Lullaby Choir you will learn 12 completely original pieces, created through a unique process. The Lullaby Project collected over 60 lullabies from around Jersey, sung in various languages. Five UK-based musicians were then commissioned to each select two lullabies and arrange them for the choir. These lullabies include original pieces from writing workshops and contributions from the community. Many of these songs and their arrangements have never been performed publicly before, making this an exclusive and special musical experience. We will share lyrics and audio tracks during the project, so that choir members can familiarise themselves with lyrics and melodies in-between rehearsals.

Rehearsal Schedule:

• Saturdays, 2 to 4 p.m. at The Bridge

• September: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

• October: 5th, 12th, 19th

• November: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd

Performance Dates:

• November 30th at the Town Church

• December 7th (venue to be confirmed)

We are looking for 20 to 30 participants to join us for this open-access choir. While no prior experience or music reading skills are required, commitment to all rehearsal and performance dates is essential. All songs will be taught by ear. Children are welcome, with activities provided during rehearsals.
